“A Place to Remember” is a historic and fictional account of life in the iconic Columbus neighborhood known as the King –Lincoln District. This innovative production takes us on a journey through the rich cultural heritage of Columbus, Ohio. Using a combination of film, historic photography, music and performance art we are transported through time meeting the people, places, leaders, artists and musicians that helped to shape this great city we live in from 1923-2012 with a special focus on the mid 1950’s. It is powerful, uplifting and artfully told through the eyes of the people who lived, worked, and loved the Long St / Mt. Vernon community (now known as the King-Lincoln district). Inspired by the art and music of the time “A Place to Remember” inspires hope and promotes community pride. It encourages us all to honor our past as we look toward the future.

“A Place to Remember” will be presented in the auditorium of the Ohio History Center on Friday, September 29, 2012 at 7:00pm. On Saturday, September 30, 2012 at 6:00pm we will host a special VIP reception and with a performance at 7:30pm. Our final presentation will be a community appreciation performance held on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 3:00pm.This wonderful auditorium seats 300 and is surrounded by the exhibits housed in the museum.

Currently, Stefanie is working on writing her second play and is the host of an online TV Show called Universal Pen on WebTV Columbus.
